Pipe Insulation

Pipe insulation is basically insulation used on pipework, which reduces the amount of heat lost and therefore keeps your water hotter for longer. They can be foam tubes that cover exposed pipes between the hot water cylinder and boiler.

Benefits of Pipe Insulation

The thickness of thermal pipe insulation used for saving energy vary, but most pipes operate at high temperatures. Hence, a greater heat flow and therefore larger thicknesses have to be applied to gain a greater potential saving.

Moreover, coming in contact with those extremely high or low temperatures, can produce severe injuries. Therefore, efficient coverings of those pipes will avoid those nasty injuries.
